Hendrick Performance Track Attack Prototype number 1 is for sale as a special offering and is priced to sell at $135,000.
The first former Hendrick Motorsports car converted for Track Attack use, Prototype 1 has been used sparingly in initial tests and for commercial purposes only. It is the only Track Attack car so far to be equipped with both a screaming 700+ hp Hendrick Motorsports R07 engine and a sturdy Andrews A431 4-speed transmission. Powertrain wise, it is the closest Track Attack car to what is raced in NASCAR.
Another unique prototype aspect of the car is the body itself, which is the very first Chevrolet SS prototype body from when NASCAR’s Gen-6 program was being crafted. From 2013 through 2017, Hendrick drivers won a combined 40 races with Jimmie Johnson capturing the 2013 and 2016 Cup Series Championships driving a Chevrolet SS. It is currently the only Track Attack car to have been built as a Chevrolet SS and sprayed in iconic Chevrolet colors with Axalta Automotive Finish paints.
The car was featured in our first promo video in the fall of 2019, seen below, and has only been tracked one other time at VIRginia International Raceway in March of 2020. Having served its testing and commercial purposes, it has not been run since. In total, the car has less than ten hours of track time since being built as a Track Attack car; the engine has zero hours on track since a refresh.
